Veronica was suggested to travel First Class. Bought ticket to Desenzano via Genoa and Milan. Walked down to Italian Riviera at Ventimiglia and had a beer and rose. Could see French Riviera. Met 'Pat's friends' on station at Ventimiglia.

ferry over to Accademia.
Walked to St Marks Square and saw the music groups. Lots of people plus the platforms for the coming high tide.
Missed train by a minute.
Lazed around at unit till time to walk to Paul Cezanne's studio. :atelier' (room) very interesting to see context of works. Nice garden.
No transport at station, and Taxi phone buggered. Finally got number and rang. Thankfully, as walk up would have ben dreadful.
Ferry to Richard Zacharia wharf - main one for St Marks Square. Walked around via St Giovanni in Bragora, Church San Martino,
After speaking to Aussies…took #11 bus to Pellestrina which is at end of Lido island. Bus went over ferry to next island, then to the end of that island. Walked back some a couple of kms.
